I had a great time with Charlotte and her parents – they are such fun to photograph! Charlotte’s a natural in front of the camera and loves fooling around with her dad and cuddling up with her mum. She did a high five for dad, showed off her skills at sitting up and finding (and eating) her toes! She liked being up high and happily sat on dad’s shoulders, enjoyed being lifted up by mummy and made a great ornament on their mantelpiece! I’m not sure why but hats with ears are almost irresistible for babies this age and Charlotte certainly looked amazing in her hoodie with ears. At 6 months old she was so curious and happy to look round – a lovely age to photograph. Baby milestones like being able to hold their head up, sitting up unaided and starting to pull themselves up to standing or taking those first steps as they learn to walk are special times to capture and I always like to create collections of happy memories of these key moments in a baby’s first year.
