Cat & Andrew planned a town hall wedding with immediate family for their legal marriage at Old Marylebone Town Hall, with a larger celebration planned with friends at a later date overseas. Andrew was in a green velvet tux and Cat chose a stunning bridal jumpsuit with a statement bow at the back. With some family members on the other side of the world, they woke in the middle of the night to join virtually by video call to watch the ceremony and congratulate the couple. After photos on the gorgeous town hall steps, Cat hailed a black taxi and they headed to the Charlotte Street Hotel for a champagne afternoon tea.
Cat chose a fresh and natural look with make up by Holly Hayward, and loose waves in her hair fastened with personalised hair clips saying “Mrs Tarby”. A gorgeous, relaxed hand tied bouquet from Grace & Thorn finished the look perfectly. Cat had a pair of flat shoes from Kurt Geiger with gold lobsters on (perfect for any Friends fan – “He’s her lobster!”) but in the end opted from some pink heels.
The Old Marylebone Town Hall is a stunning building. Cat & Andrew’s intimate ceremony took place in the Soho Room, and there was time for photos in the marble hallway as well as the traditional group photos on the stairs down to the street – including with their virtual guests! I love that although Cat & Andrew had a small wedding celebration, I was still able to capture the full wedding story – from bridal preparation and the special details Cat had chosen, through the ceremony, the family and wedding portraits, travelling to the reception, mingling with their guests and speeches at their afternoon tea. Scroll down to see their wedding story slideshow, and read what Cat had to say about having me there to capture their day.
