London Wedding Photographer – About Me

Hannah Larkin London wedding photographer

I’m a listener, an observer, a traveller and psychologist. I love to understand people, to find out what matters to them and what makes them tick. I care about getting to know my clients and feel lucky that many become friends. I’m often told how calming I am, and helping you relax is important to me as it allows me to capture authentic moments when you’re truly yourself. I look for small, secret signs of love – a glance, a gesture – and personal touches that tell your story and show what makes you unique.

My story is that I first fell in love with photography whilst travelling the world. I grew up in a small village in Northumberland and didn’t get on a plane until I was 19. Since then I’ve explored every continent – from setting foot in Antarctica to honeymooning in the Arctic, and lots in between. I treasure the way my photographs allow me to relive experiences and share the story of my travels with friends and family.

I live with my husband in a home full of books, art supplies, board games and plants – we have a beautiful rescue cat and one day I’d like a garden and a dog… I’m a smitten auntie to my beautiful nieces and nephew and regularly spend time supporting children in foster care. London is home but I still travel the world photographing weddings and families.

I’d love to connect, email me to find a time to talk about your plans, follow me on Instagram or like me on Facebook – let’s tell your story.

Emotional wedding photography London

About You

I’m a wedding photographer, but I’m not the photographer for everyone…

I’m the photographer for the couple who want to mix traditions with personal touches and aren’t afraid to do something different, who want their wedding to reflect their personalities and be filled with love and laughter, who are excited to explore hand in hand and see marriage as their next great adventure. I’m the photographer for those who want their wedding to be as individual as they are.

Although I think it’s sad this has to be stated, it’s important to me that you know I’m happy to work with people of any religion, ethnicity or sexuality.

My Wedding Wishlist

I love photographing weddings, especially if they include any of the following:

Outdoor weddings

In gardens, woodlands, bandstands, fields or mountains – they always have such a special feel.
Be inspired by the top garden wedding venues in London.

Glasshouses, greenhouses and orangeries

As a natural light photographer these venues always make me smile. Explore some magical venues in my London best glasshouse wedding venues blog post.

Elopements and tiny weddings

It’s always such a privilege to capture small weddings & intimate ceremonies like this London elopement.

Festival weddings

Weddings in yurts or tipis, complete with wedding wellies and silent discos are always fun to capture like this vintage riverside festival wedding.

Pets at weddings

Whether you carry a kitten instead of a bouquet or ask your puppy to be your ring bearer – include your dog, cat, guinea pig, horse or llama and I’m there! See my favourite pets at wedding inspiration on Pinterest

Multi-cultural and multi-faith weddings

I had a multi-cultural wedding and love the opportunity these weddings give to merge cultures and traditions to create truly unique celebrations like this blush and gold multicultural wedding and this Chinese – English garden wedding.

Destination weddings

I love to travel. Iceland, Santorini, and Croatia are three of my favourite places to photograph but I’m always up for adventure.

Quirky personal touches

Choosing a bespoke celebrant-led ceremony, asking your grandma to be your bridesmaid or designing a superhero wedding cake? Let me capture these special touches.
