A sunny summer wedding, a long dress with an open heart-shaped back, a bouquet of pink and yellow with tanacetum daises, a town hall ceremony, an emotional ring bearer, confetti on the steps, a walk through Oxford then a boat to the riverside pub, flamingo cake toppers, moving speeches with French translations, golden light at sunset, guests swimming in the river and the bride paddling in her dress before the dancing. Dorothée & Lee’s beautiful summer wedding was family focused and full of laughter. Featured on English Wedding Blog the Oxford Town Hall wedding ceremony was moving and the riverside wedding reception at The Perch included an incredible golden hour and cooling off in the river! I love The Perch, it’s a gorgeous Oxford pub wedding venue right on the river – perfect for this hot summer wedding (but also beautiful in the rain as I discovered at Jo & Ali’s festival feel Perch wedding!).
Dorothée kindly wrote about the experience of me photographing her wedding: “Hannah was absolutely fabulous at capturing our wedding and how special the day was, for us, our family and friends. The engagement shoot was very useful in helping us to overcome the awkwardness of being photographed (she had to remind my husband to breathe!). She was present at all the right moments without us noticing so everyone was really relaxed. The pictures are fantastic, she knew exactly when to take us away for some amazing shots by the river at sunset. Hannah was very helpful throughout the preparations and the event itself. So a massive thank you to Hannah, we have some wonderful memories of our special day!”
