A month ago today, Niamh & Matt got married in a beautiful Irish celebration in their Prince Albert Camden wedding in London.
The venue, St Joseph’s Church in Highgate, had special meaning for the couple as Matt’s parents got married there nearly 40 years ago. And the family connection didn’t end there – the Priest, a close friend of Niamh’s mother, flew over from Ireland to perform the ceremony. Niamh looked stunning in a draped ivory wedding dress with a birdcage veil and simple white rose bouquet.
After the ceremony, the rain stopped for photos in Waterlow Park with perhaps the most perfectly framed bench in London as well as pretty gardens. The celebrations continued at the Prince Albert in Camden where there was a London theme for the reception. Niamh created a London underground table plan using the different lines for table names and with tube sign showing the table numbers.
After the speeches they cut the wedding cake which was made by Niamh’s talented sister Fionnuala who runs Bella’s Baking – it was a three tiered creation complete with a London bus and iced underground signs. The celebrations continued with live Cuban music until the early hours. Niamh had beautiful blue heeled wedding shoes, but she swapped these for red converse trainers to relax and enjoy the end of the evening!
A wonderfully warm wedding for a wonderful couple.
