Symmie and Nick planned a beautiful spring wedding, centred on their Jewish wedding ceremony at the Central Synagogue. This London Jewish wedding started with Symmie getting ready at The Landmark London hotel, where the beautiful staircases allowed her stunning open backed wedding dress with its long lace edged train to be perfectly photographed. We then travelled to the Central Synagogue London, where Nick and his family met with the Rabbi for the Tisch, where the marriage contract or Ketubah was signed. Symmie waited with her mum in the bridal room until Nick and his family joined her for a first look and the Bedeken ceremony where Nick settled Symmie’s veil. The ceremony took place under a chuppah and included the traditions of the bride circling the groom 7 times, the marriage contract was beautifully sung & a glass was smashed, before the Yichud where the couple take a few minutes alone together.
After the Yichud, the couple joined their family and friends for confetti canons on the steps of the Central Synagogue London before heading off in their white taxi for romantic wedding photos around Bloomsbury. They wanted to include the beautiful spring blossom as they visited a few of the beautiful London squares. I love that both Nick & Symmie chose silver sparkly wedding shoes – and Nick changed from a black suit into an amazing pink silk jacket as we headed to Terra Terra for the reception. Symmie & Nick were welcomed with cheers & dancing, including the hora, a traditional Jewish wedding dance where the couple are lifted on chairs. Speeches were emotional, and after dinner the dancing restarted enthusiastically, celebrating this wonderful wedding.
