Cat & Chris planned a wonderfully relaxed London wedding at the beautiful Littleton Park House. This 17th century manor house used to be a family home, but since the 1930s it’s been used as a film set, at the heart of what is now Shepperton Studios. As big movie fans Cat & Chris embraced this theme, choosing dvds for each guest as their place setting, decorating the walls with their favourite film quotes and placing Oscar statuettes and clapperboards on each table. Cat entered down the beautiful galleried staircase and the ceremony took place in the black and white tiled foyer that later doubled up as a giant chess board! Photos took place in the perfect topiary garden and the reception was in the gorgeous light and airy orangery.
Cat got ready at Foxhills and looked incredible in high heeled blue Manolo Blahnik wedding shoes, a stunning high street wedding dress from Monsoon, two tiny stacking engagement rings and with yellow flowers in her loose wavy hair. I loved capturing Cat’s dad seeing her for the first time as well as her gorgeous little flower girl who was just bursting with pride.
I met Chris at the venue with his best men and best woman. The galleried staircase allowed the bridal party to peek down at the guests as they waited for the ceremony to start and the wood panelled walls provided the backdrop for the group photos as for a while it seemed it would be a wet wedding day – luckily it dried up enough for evening portraits with the manor house as a perfect backdrop. Speeches took place in a mix of English & French (with Chris relying on a GCSE French textbook to help him out!) and then there was lots of dancing against twinkling fairy lights.
