Pranav & Sonakshi were engaged and planning their big wedding back in India – but wanted to capture some special moments in the city they call home. Pranav let me know that he had got a ring for Sonakshi and wanted to surprise her with this during the shoot. We worked together to find the perfect spot and time for this London proposal as part of their London engagement shoot – surrounded by roses. They wanted to have some beautiful garden photos, some classic London streets as a backdrop, photos by the river and to end in Battersea Park.
They were keen for two distinct looks for their photos and so started in more formal clothes – Pranav’s in a classic suit and Sonakshi choosing a beautiful pink dress. St Luke’s flower garden is a lovely quiet spot in Chelsea and the roses there made this the perfect, romantic spot for a London proposal. From there we walked down through Chelsea, stopping at the iconic steps at Chelsea Old Town Hall, enjoying the white painted houses and dancing by my favourite pink door under it’s LOVE letters. Then time for a quick change from more fun and casual clothes (I love Sonakshi’s bright orange dress!) for relaxed photos by the embankment, on the Albert Bridge & into Battersea Park. I hadn’t visited the London Peace Pagoda before, but it is a beautiful spot in the park.
A walk is perfect for relaxed and natural photos – it lets us walk and talk, get to know each other and stop in several different places for a range of photos that capture an area – in this case, Chelsea. To cover all these locations and an outfit change, Pranav & Sonakshi opted for a 3 hour shoot so there was no rush and plenty of time to make the most of all these stunning locations.
